An extension to the EP is needed to allow the draft of the new RFP to follow the procurement process and extend the EP through 12/31/2024 or until approval of the new SRM Contract. The critical services are performed on the current CHIP Insurance Verification contract #4400016756. The current contract will expire on 12/31/2023.

Justification for Extension:

The EP Extension is required to allow proper process of the new RFP 39-22 for CHIP Insurance Verification.

Result, if not Approved:
|
The EP Extension request is to ensure continuity of the critical services needed for the health and welfare of vulnerable children while the new RFP follows the procurement process. Failure to extend the date for CHIP Insurance Verification will negatively impact the ability of OMAP to ensure a child, does not have private insurance. Not having these matches and verifications completed each month could result in CHIP incurring expenses for children that are not eligible for the CHP program.
